The School of Modern Languages and Cultures brings in current, dynamic, and forward-looking studies of the workings of societies be it international, regional and national. Students of this degree course would be required to undertake a new language – such as Korean Japanese, French, German, Mandarin or Spanish. You are given a choice to embark on internships during summer in both local and foreign media and communication marketplace in the course of your degree whilst being guided by the staff’s range of industry connections where else in your second and third years of study, you may opt for mobility exchanges to the UK or China Campuses.
Film and Television is aimed at students with a passion for cinema, television and moving image art forms, which they want to develop through filmmaking and critical thinking about film. Students will be exploring writing, image creation, managing and producing, and the theory and history of film and television while developing a deep understanding of the motion picture medium. Graduates acquire the knowledge and skills needed for a career in film or television.
