The School of Modern Languages and Cultures brings in current, dynamic, and forward-looking studies of the workings of societies be it international, regional and national. Students of this degree course would be required to undertake a new language – such as Korean Japanese, French, German, Mandarin or Spanish. You are given a choice to embark on internships during summer in both local and foreign media and communication marketplace in the course of your degree whilst being guided by the staff’s range of industry connections where else in your second and third years of study, you may opt for mobility exchanges to the UK or China Campuses.
International Development is the multidisciplinary study of how communities and states attain the economic, socio-political and other characteristics associated with development. This course focuses on the practical and theoretical issues around the promotion of international development. It provides the practical skills required for employment in the development sector, including how to design, implement and manage development projects.
