This program aims to equip students with the basic knowledge, practical skills and professional training that will prepare them to be employed in the industries and/or to continue their studies at a higher level. At undergraduate level, students will be exposed to basic knowledge in psychology. Graduates will have a firm basic knowledge of psychology and psychological related areas of studies. Students will be expected to demostrate scientific knowledge and skills regarding human behavior, thinking, feeling, perception, reasoning, cognitive and physiological aspects of humans. This field is also emphasized on practical training and professional ethics, particularly in research.
Psychology is the science of behavior and mind, embracing all aspects of conscious and unconscious experience as well as thought. Psychologists attempt to understand the role of mental functions in individual and social behavior, while also exploring the physiological and biological processes that underlie cognitive functions and behaviors.
