This programme aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills that enable them to embark on a successful career in the field of Mass Communication and Media which includes the ability to analyze and solve media and communication related problems, and knowledge pertaining to global media and communication world. Students will be trained with hands-on practical experiences in doing media projects to understanding media effects on daily life by studying the form, operation, roles and 21st-century influence of mass media, i.e. the Internet, newspapers, television, radio broadcast, film, books, public relations and advertising.
Mass Communication revolves around delivering timely information to a wide audience anytime and anywhere, regardless of location restrictions. It encompasses a wide range of topics such as entertainment, news, branding activities, and public advice – that is repeated on magazines, television, newspapers, radio, online portals, and advertisements. The programme equips students with the skillsets required in managing, analysing, and strengthening communications in multiple areas such as interpersonal, public, and professional interactions.
