Multimedia Design blends multiple media sources – such as text, sound, video, digital images and web-based media into a coherent, interactive communication. The programme is effective as it engages presentations to captivate audiences and customers involved in training and education, entertainment, marketing and advertising. Multimedia Designers have many tools and resources to visualise and present their ideas, but at the heart of multimedia design is visual communications and the ability to convey a story through people’s eyes. The subject focuses on interactive design for CD-ROM and DVD-ROM, web design, digital video and animation. It explores new and emerging media, and encompasses a diverse range of communication platforms for various audiences. It develops the students' creative and technological skills and most importantly, the ability to apply these skills to practical solutions and products.
